Stuart Inshore Fishing

Stuart Florida Fishing Report 1

During colder months of the year, finding structure is the most important. Snook, which is the most popular species to catch, can be caught in the backwaters of St Lucie and Indian River. They migrate back into the canals and river systems hugging to mangrove lines, bridges, and many other structures. Getting aboard with a local expert will cut down your time and get you on bigger and better species more time efficient.

You can either use live bait including shrimp, mullet, pinfish, grunts, etc for inshore species. As well as the most preferred method, you can use dead baits such as mullet, bonito, and squid. Visit your local bait and tackle stores to determine which avenue and bait option is going to be the best choice. Most shops have up-to-date information on how the resources are working in your destination.

One of the best structures known to hold excellent inshore fishing is bridges. The Ten-Cent Bridge during the right tides and time of day can provide some of the most incredible inshore fishing in the state. Hold on while you fight the biggest Snook of your life. Along with the might Snook, you can catch Tarpon, Jack Crevalle, Mackerel, Snapper, and Grouper. The action is consistent all year round with peak seasons for species including Snook and Tarpon.

Our Local Expert and Professional Captain Hunter Weston has spent many years of his life determining, learning and fishing this incredible fishing destination. If you are looking for the ULTIMATE inshore fishing experience, make sure you get on his clean fishing vessel into the backwaters of Stuart, FL.

Current Inshore Fishing Report from Captain Hunter out of Stuart, FL:

“As we experience what we Floridians deem as cold weather, the Snook have been on and off for the time being. With that being said, when we have
had a couple of warm days in a row the bite is extremely good.

Look for docks with good current movement and a little bit of tinted water. In this cold, they seem to like a little stain in the water, which in turn helps that reaction bite on artificial baits.

Some of the best baits consist of Yo-Zuri minnows or crank baits along with MirrOlure topwater plugs. You can also use DOA TerrorEyz or Shrimp that sit on the bottom where the big Snook are waiting to feed. Redfish up north by the power plant have been consistent and seemingly chewing pretty good on these mid 60’s days we’ve been blessed with recently”

Stuart Offshore Fishing

If you are after that deep-sea creature in Stuart, FL, head a short distance offshore to get into cooler waters for much larger fish. Stuart, after all, is the “Sailfish Capital of the World.” Fly a  kite, set the drift, troll in different depths, and explore all that Stuart has to offer on an Offshore Fishing Charter.  Stuart is a great destination for offshore fishing because of the proximity of the Gulf Stream. This stream travels from the North to the South, bringing major pelagic and billfish to the warm waters of Stuart, FL. If you are looking for much larger fish, an offshore fishing charter would be the best bet!

Stuart Bass Fishing

Stuart Florida Fishing Report 4

When you are traveling to Stuart, most will overlook one an incredible experience that can change your life. Some of the world’s best bass fishing is within a short drive. Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing can provide your family that freshwater fishing experience that you are after. Hop on board with Captain Hunter as well for an Okeechobee City fishing adventure.

Now is a fantastic time to come explore what Lake Okeechobee has to offer. Once the water temperatures get right, the big female bass looks to spawn.

Current Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Report with Captain Hunter Weston

“Right now on great Lake O, we are getting skinnier and skinnier. Water levels are dropping making for great opportunities to cash in on some bigger fish. Fish that have been back in vegetation and in that normal 2-3′ water range are starting to move out towards main lake points and bays.

When you are adventuring out on the water, make sure to keep an eye out for clean water. Keep your eyes open for moving water and current. Observe paths and routes from the main lake to backwaters that can help you locate more fish. As the water continues to drop, the bass will have no other option but to find deeper water.

Shad are thick around outside grass and have good schools of bass hitting top waters, lipless crankbaits and spinner baits. Live wild caught shiners may be the most effective but artificial baits can provide you with a fun and rewarding experience. “

Lake Okeechobee can fulfill your freshwater dream as it is one of the best bass fishing lakes in Florida. Cast out artificial lures or live bait to land that TROPHY largemouth bass you have been hoping for. All year round, Lake Okeechobee can provide you with a fishing experience like no other. We look forward to seeing you on the water next time.

Our Local Expert:

Capt Hunter Weston

“Hello my name is Captain Hunter Weston. I’m 27 years old from Stuart, FL. I’m a second generation native Floridian, born in Plantation, FL. I’ve been fishing since before I could remember; my father always tells a story of my first bass on my own was at two years old. How much of that is true, I’m not sure.

My earliest memories of fishing are from when I was four. I used to fish local tournaments with my father in the Everglades and on Lake Okeechobee. Since then I haven’t known life without bass fishing. I grew up primarily fishing Lake Okeechobee around some of the best anglers known to the sport. I always loved the idea of being a professional guide and giving people the opportunity to see the beauty and experiences fishing has to offer. Growing up with a father that guided professional gave me the tools and knowledge to feel confident in being successful at such a rewarding career.

At the age of 21, I joined the United States Coast Guard. I’ve been on active duty for the past six years. I’ve taken many lessons and fundamentals from my time served and have applied them to many different aspects of my life in order to make myself a well-rounded professional mariner and human being.

What you can experience with Captain Hunter:

My passion for the sport of fishing goes beyond a hobby, my wife likes to say it’s more of an obsession. If I’m not fishing, I’m thinking about fishing, my mind never stops. From fishing new water and finding the fish to getting them to bite and react to different baits. In this industry, if you’re not adapting and figuring out the fish on a daily basis, you’ll get left behind.
It’s a beautiful place that can humble you extremely fast. My love for bass fishing and Lake Okeechobee are beyond my power to express in words.

Stuart Florida Fishing Report 3

My expertise does not end at bass fishing; I’ve been inshore fishing in Stuart since I was twelve. I remember catching an over-slot Snook for the first time and having a whole new world open up to me. Drag screaming, acrobatic maneuvers, aggressive head shakes, it was an experience that got my attention as much as bass fishing. Since then I have pursued inshore species such as tarpon, redfish, permit, jack, and trout. One thing I love about saltwater is the chance to catch so many different species in one trip.

Another adventure I love to share with people is the pursuit of the beautiful peacock bass. The peacock bass was introduced here in South Florida in the 1980’s. Originally from the Amazon regions of South America, this fish is as ferocious as it is colorful. Sometimes putting up a fight you weren’t bargaining for.

As a matter of fact, from Lake Ida to Miami, I’ve fished for peacocks since I was 10. A very different experience that is undoubtedly unrivaled. Where ever you want to explore, I am your local expert. My goal is to provide you with the best Florida Fishing experience possible. I look forward to sharing experiences and memories with incredible people.”

Finally, Stuart is the perfect location for the ultimate Florida Fishing Experience. If you have never been to Stuart, FL, it is a must-see destination here in Florida with all things considered. We look forward to having the opportunity to explore what this destination has to offer with you. Stuart Trophy Bass Fishing Charters with Local Expert

Lake Okeechobee is a World-Renown Bass Fishing lake in Florida. Many fishermen have this unbelievable and beautiful lake on their bucket list to fish. Every year, we strive to take someone new to the lake out and let them have a chance of landing a trophy Lake Okeechobee bass. Late Summer Trophy Bass Fishing can really provide you with an exceptional time in near Stuart, Florida.

Florida is flooded with endless freshwater lakes but there is only one that triumphs all of them. Lake Okeechobee is the largest lake in the state of Florida. Okeechobee covers 730 square miles of prime Stuart bass fishing. You can access the lake from several locations but there are three that remain famous: Okeechobee City, Clewiston and Belle Glade. All of these locations provide a uniquely different aspect and experience to Florida bass fishing.

In order to find extreme success, you have to discover Lake Okeechobee with a local expert. Each location requires similar but different knowledge that will allow you to read and interpret the water. These skills are pertinent in order to have success catching trophy bass. Captain Hunter Weston has spent years fishing the north end of Lake Okeechobee out of Okeechobee City. Those years has allowed him to key in on all the patterns every season.

Captain Hunter had the pleasure of fishing with Stefan and his two sons, Lucas and Tobias. They were traveling from Germany in order to experience Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing. Captain Hunt had the privilege to show them around the lake and all it has to offer. Luckily, they had perfect weather that illuminated the resources and provided an exceptional day of fishing.

Water quality was beyond good especially in some key areas. All around Okeechobee City you can find effective water grounds for big bass. The outside grass patches are holding schools of fish that are chasing shad early in the morning. This bite is textbook especially for these late summer months. Most of the bass that hang around these patches were in the range of 1 to 3 pounds.

After picking away at multiple largemouth bass early in the morning, they shifted focus to some heavier cover. Largemouth bass don’t have sunglasses so they have to stay protected and under grass all day long in the summer especially on clear days. Stefan, Lucas and Tobias spent the rest of the day targeting heavier clumps of hyacinth. They plucked away at several more quality bass before setting the hook into their trophy later in the day. As the weather got warmer, the bigger fish began to bite. Lucas caught an absolute beast weighing in at 7 pounds. You truly can’t beat a bite like that when fishing on Lake Okeechobee.

Captain Hunter is looking forward to fishing with this amazing family again next time they visit Florida! The summer bite is still going to be around and is only going to get better as the weather begins to cool.

Lake Okeechobee is clear and in great shape. The press has made it look horrible but in reality the bass fishing and conditions on Lake Okeechobee are fantastic. All our locations have been producing great fish. All the algae have been cleared and the lake is looking normal again. Don’t miss out on an adventure of a lifetime to catch that trophy largemouth bass. We look forward to seeing you on the water next time!

Our goal is to share along exceptional outdoor experiences with local experts that have spent hours and days on the water. When you step aboard our fishing vessels, rest assure you are in great hands.

Florida has a multitude of bass species you can catch. By far, the most common is the Florida largemouth bass. In addition, many travelers to South Florida also enjoy catching the exotic peacock bass. Also, you can catch sunshine bass, spotted bass, and striped bass. When it comes to catching these species, it all depends on which location and destination you will be traveling to.

Best time of year to go bass fishing in Florida?

When you come out on a fishing charter and adventure, enjoy catching largemouth bass and peacock bass. Those are the main targeted species here in Florida. In order to determine which destination would be best, you have to choose the species. Largemouth bass can be caught in every freshwater lake, pond, or river you can find. Peacock bass can only be caught in South Florida. The furthest north they have migrated to would be the Lake Osborne Chain of Lakes in Boynton Beach, FL.

The best time of year to come fish for largemouth bass is during their spawn. A spawn is an event of mating that occurs multiple times of year for many bass species. Each spawn will vary based off the temperatures and water conditions. Bass spawn at an optimal water temperature ranging from 65-75 degrees. These conditions begin to stabilize during the month of January into February. The best times to come catch largemouth bass here in Florida is from February through May. If you can plan your trip around moon phases that will give you the best chance at catching very large trophy-sized bass.

Bass Fishing in Florida 3

Florida Peacock Bass are highly exotic species that love the sunshine here in Florida. Peacock bass spawn during the months of April through September, also depending on water temperatures. They love to reside in very warm waters which are also the best time to come catch one. Females typically are the larger fish. The males or the protectors typically don’t get as large but grow a knot on top of their head. Peacock bass are incredibly fun to catch as they are aggressive, hard-pulling, and very colorful.

Best time of day to go bass fishing?

Many ask us on a daily basis: “When is the best time to go fishing in Florida?” The best time to go bass fishing is dependent on fishing conditions. If the fishing conditions are warm, the best time to come bass fishing is in the early morning. There is nothing like early morning topwater bites whether fishing for largemouth or peacock bass.

Florida, like the rest of the United States, experiences cold fronts during the winter months. If the cold fronts drop the water temperatures significantly, then the afternoon bite will be the strongest. If you are fishing during our warm months here in Florida, the early morning hours is when the temperature is the lowest and the bass bite the best. Get on the water before sunrise and get to your favorite fishing spot during safelight. Yet again, peacock bass love the warm water, so when the temperature of the water is highest, typically is the best time to get out there.

It was not long after this fishing trip that Captain Mark Rose and Captain George Mrozinski explored Lake Okeechobee. They were fishing a two boat fishing charter out of Clewiston, FL. Captain George had the pleasure of fishing with Dave and his sons Lucas and Christian. While traveling from Toronto with their friends, they had to get out on the water. Lake Okeechobee was the perfect match for them while Clewiston Bass Fishing.

Captain Mark Rose had the pleasure of fishing with his repeat client Enzo and his friend Aldo. They were also traveling from Canada and wanted to get out Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing again. It was a quick 8-hour fishing trip with all the action. This family and friends did not know what to expect and got everything they could have imagined.

On Captain George’s boat, Christian caught most of the bass. Lucas came in strong with the biggest bass on this boat weighing 6.41 pounds. That wasn’t the biggest bass of the trip but one amazing catch. On Captain Mark’s boat, Enzo and Aldo caught over 40 largemouth bass with a Trophy Bass added on. Enzo landed a 9-pound giant largemouth on this fishing trip. It was 24 inches long and 18 inches round. You truly can’t beat the bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee this time of year.

Captain George and Mark are looking forward to seeing this family and friends on their next Florida vacation!

Two Boat Okeechobee Fishing 6

It was not long after this awesome fishing trip that Captain Brian was back on the water. He had the pleasure of fishing with Brooke. She was traveling across the country checking out different states. While she was visiting Florida, Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing was a must. Captain Brian had a fun morning with Brooke who was originally from Ohio.

The cookie cutter males are present on Lake Okeechobee. Brooke landed a solid number of bass on this fish with no giants to the boat. Along with catching largemouth, she also caught a couple seagulls that wanted her live bait. Brooke is planning another trip soon and bringing her brother back to experience Lake Okeechobee. Sometimes you don’t have to catch a big bass to have a memorable experience on the water.

Captain Brian is looking forward to fishing with Brooke again in the near future!

The weather was great and the lake is looking amazing. Things are coming together for a strong season and next couple of months. South Florida Freshwater Snook Fishing Charters with Local Experts

South Florida has endless outdoor opportunities you can take advantage of while visiting. Stuart and the local cities in South Florida are gorgeous locations to catch endless species. Every adventure out on the water can lead you to the fish of a lifetime. A Freshwater Snook Fishing Charter can be a great addition to your vacation. Take a break from the beaches and hop on board with your loved ones for a trip of a lifetime!

Stuart bass fishing can really allow you to experience all that Florida is about. When you are traveling here, you have to set the hook into our exotic species. The Florida peacock bass is the dominant bass that is fished here in South Florida. You might have to go on a little drive further South but it will be well worth it. Our local experts have extensive knowledge about fishing here in South Florida. Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami are prime locations to catch peacock bass and freshwater Snook. Captain Robert Miley is our Miami local expert and Captain Brett Isackson is our Broward County local expert.

Captain Robert Miley had the pleasure to go bass fishing with Julie and Don. They were traveling from Dallas, Texas on vacation. While they were here in South Florida, bass fishing was on the list to do. Julie and Don went out on a quick 4-hour trip that led them to experience something they never imagined. It was truly a trip of a lifetime for them.

Several lakes and canal systems fill South Florida. In Miami, one of the best lakes is Airport Lakes. Airport Lakes has a side lake called Blue Lagoon that has produced excellent fishing all year long. One of the impressive parts about fishing in Blue Lagoon is the ability to catch a variety of species. Florida peacock bass dominate the waterway but you can also catch Snook, jack crevalle, largemouth bass, tilapia and a number of other members of the cichlid family.

Airport Lakes is a great destination for anglers that want the ultimate experience. As well, it is great for family, loved ones, and inexperienced anglers that want to set the hook. Every chance to do so can lead to the fish you dream about. Julie and Don can attest to that fact.

Weather conditions were beautiful for this fishing trip. Everything lined up for an absolute slugfest on the water. Julie and Don caught 10 quality peacock bass with all of them in the 3 to 5-pound range. The biggest bass weighed 5.25 pounds. A fish of this magnitude is considered a trophy peacock bass. Along with this great catch, they also caught a monster freshwater Snook.

This Snook weighed in at 17 pounds and took them for a fight they won’t forget. Just shortly after bringing this giant to the boat, they also caught a 12 pound jack crevalle. This fishing trip was a never ending day of catching fish. Julie and Don caught a big tilapia to top it off. When you visit Miami, you can catch all the species you can hope for.

Captain Robert Miley is looking forward to catching so many more exotic species in Miami next time they come back to enjoy South Florida Fishing.

Just shortly after this fishing trip, Julie and Don traveled further north to Broward County to see what they can get themselves into. Captain Brett Isackson had the pleasure of fishing with them at Markham Park which is right on the edge of the Florida Everglades as well as Stuart. They were able to experience more bass fishing along with checking off another Florida exotic on their list.

Florida blessed them with another beautiful day on the water. Don and Julie put several more exotic species in the boat including peacock bass and snakeheads. They also caught a Snook but nothing compared to the one they caught in Miami. Don and Julie were excited to get the opportunity to catch the exotic snakehead. They really enjoyed their aggressive strike along with their powerful fight.

Captain Brett Isackson is excited to get another opportunity to catch more species with Don and Julie next time they visit South Florida!

When you are planning your next vacation to South Florida, make sure to consider getting out in the outdoors. One of the best ways to do so is on a bass fishing charter. You can experience endless amounts of species that come in a variety of sizes. Bring your family along on an adventure of a lifetime. The bass and exotics are biting strong, so don’t miss out on your adventure while it is still hot. We look forward to seeing you next time on the water!

Corporate Stuart Fishing Trip

Corporate Stuart Fishing Trip

Business is one of the many reasons people travel to Stuart, Florida surrounding area. The city of Stuart is a hub for conventions and business travel. Stuart is not far from this hub  where you can take clients on a Corporate fishing trip of a lifetime.

We had the pleasure of fishing with an Asian Food Solutions company. They traveled from across the nation to meet at a convention here in Stuart Florida. While they were here, they wanted to get out on the water for a freshwater fishing trip charter.

Fishing is the perfect way to entertain clients and prospective business partners. Our trip consisted of 10 boats with 2 people on each boat. Everyone worked as a team to make for the best possible fishing experience.

Colder weather on this trip concentrated the bass into key locations. They had a great time catching these Florida Largemouth Bass out in the Everglades. We saw some nice bags and great fish caught.

Captain John’s boat and clients caught the biggest fish and string of 5 fish. The string weighed over 15 pounds and the biggest fish weighed 4 pounds. One of the second biggest on Captain John’s boat was over 3 pounds.

One of the greatest moments as a Captain is taking out people that generally would never fish. It was an awesome day on the water for all our Captains involved as everyone caught bass.

We are looking forward to fishing with this amazing group again. If you want to entertain business out on the water while catching Florida Largemouth Bass or many other species in Florida, contact us today for a trip of a lifetime.
